I cannot deny how much I love blazers. In the warmer months, they are my outerwear/top layer of choice. However, they tend to get bulky under coats, so they don’t get much play in the winter months. Enter my new plum blazer: bulky, yes, but so warm and wintry that I couldn’t resist including it in my 30 for 30. Oh, and look, just in time for the Everybody, Everywear blazer challenge!

I had a friend take a picture of me by the library, but I failed to ask for a full-body shot, so this is the result. The entirety of the outfit consists of the blazer, the scarf (bought at the Adams Morgan street festival last October), the Demetra earrings, a white camisole, Express jeans, and my plum Clarks shoes. Matchy-matchy yet again, but I’m not complaining this time around.

Also, I’m kind of wishing for a pocket square right now.

Great combo, very cute. I think a pocket square would look awesome, lol

That blazer looks luxurious to say the least. Maybe, with the scarf, a bit regal.
I’m glad you included that in your 30!

i seriously have been on the hunt for a velvety blazer for who knows how long. jealous! very luxe and awesome here. love this ensemble…at least the top half! but i trust a girl in a velvet blazer that the bottom half looks great too. and now i’m just sounding creepy.
