Given that this week is Restaurant Week in Madison, I went to Ocean Grill last night, remembering that Lawyer Boy highly recommended it last year. The place had a nice atmosphere, but I think I would agree with Eating in Madison A to Z’s assessment of the food: “Pretty good, but there are other fish in the sea.” The presentation was great, I’ll give them that much, and the food was not bad by any means, but it lacked a certain zing that I expect from a pricier establishment. Also, I think I made a mistake in ordering the chocolate tart instead of the white wine cake.
If I’m in Madison during Restaurant Week this winter, I think I’ll opt for a steakhouse instead.
